Yala is particularly renowned for its leopard population, Asian elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles and diverse birdlife. The landscape includes dry-zone forest, scrubland, grassland, lagoons and coastal habitats.

Choose a morning safari, when wildlife activity and early light can offer excellent viewing opportunities, or an afternoon safari that continues toward the late-afternoon golden hour.

This package does not include transportation to or from the park entrance. Guests must independently reach the confirmed meeting gate before the safari begins.

Guests independently travel to the confirmed Palatupana entrance and meet the safari operator at the designated location. Present the booking confirmation, verify the selected safari session and complete the required entry arrangements. No transfer to or from the park is included.

Important Notes

The half-day safari lasts approximately four hours inside the park.
The usual morning session is approximately 06:00–10:00; the afternoon session is approximately 14:00–18:00. Confirm the actual time with the operator.
Guests must independently reach the confirmed entrance gate before the scheduled safari.
Park fees vary by visitor nationality and applicable government regulations. SAARC visitors may be eligible for a different tariff from other foreign visitors; valid passports may be required.
Yala's gates generally operate between 06:00 and 18:00, subject to park rules, closures and operational changes.
Park blocks and entrance gates may be affected by seasonal closures or other restrictions. Confirm which block and gate are operating on your travel date.
Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Follow the driver's and tracker's instructions, remain in the vehicle except at designated stops and avoid disturbing animals.
Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and bring sun protection, drinking water, a camera and any personal medication you may need.
