Important Notes
- This is an extreme high-altitude Himalayan motorcycle expedition focused primarily on the riding experience and conquering Umling La (Approx. 5,798m).
- A minimum of 2–3 days of proper acclimatization in Leh is mandatory before joining this expedition.
- Riders should have prior experience riding motorcycles in mountain terrain and high-altitude conditions.
- Roads throughout the route may include rough terrain, broken patches, steep ascents, water crossings, loose gravel, and remote Himalayan stretches.
- Bike fuel for the complete expedition is included in the package.
- Riding gear including helmets, jackets, gloves, knee guards, and riding accessories are not included and should be arranged personally by the rider.
- Overnight stay will be arranged in a budget homestay or guesthouse in Hanle village with basic facilities.
- Carry warm riding gear, thermal layers, sunglasses, sunscreen, hydration supplies, energy snacks, and personal medications.
- Basic first aid kit and oxygen cylinder support are available during the expedition.
- Due to the extreme altitude of Umling La, travelers may experience breathlessness, fatigue, headaches, or AMS symptoms even after acclimatization.
- In case a traveler feels unwell during the expedition, basic oxygen and first aid support will be provided wherever operationally possible. Additional evacuation, medical transport, taxi support, or emergency arrangements if required shall be chargeable directly to the traveler.
- Only one small backpack or duffle bag per rider is recommended. Large luggage bags or suitcases are not advisable for this expedition.
- Mobile network connectivity may remain limited or unavailable in several sections of the route, especially beyond Nyoma and Hanle.
- Travelers are advised to carry sufficient cash as ATMs and digital payment networks may not function reliably in remote regions.
- The journey towards Umling La is subject to road conditions, military regulations, weather conditions, and operational accessibility at the time of travel.
- Any delays caused due to snowfall, landslides, roadblocks, military restrictions, weather conditions, traffic, or operational factors are beyond operational control.
- Travelers are requested to respect local regulations, military restrictions, and environmental guidelines throughout the expedition.
