Nairobi: Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha Day Trip with Transfer

  • Nakuru County
  • • Wildlife & Nature
  • • Duration 14 hour

Description

Experience two of Kenya's most accessible Great Rift Valley destinations on one full-day private excursion from Nairobi.

Begin with an early-morning drive from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving after the park's 06:00 opening period for a guided wildlife drive. Lake Nakuru is known for its scenic alkaline lake, diverse birdlife and populations of both black and white rhinoceros, as well as buffalo, giraffe, zebra and other wildlife.

After the morning game drive, continue toward Lake Naivasha, approximately 90 km from Nairobi and located in the Rift Valley. Enjoy a private boat safari on the lake, looking for hippos, African fish eagles and waterbirds while cruising across the freshwater lake.

The experience combines wildlife viewing from a safari vehicle with a boat-based lake safari, making it possible to experience two contrasting ecosystems during one day.

Guests return to Nairobi in the late afternoon or early evening.
