Mizoram: Phawngpui Trek with Transfers

  • Mizoram
  • • Adventure Activities
  • • Duration 8 hour

Description

Explore Phawngpui, also known as the Blue Mountain, on a guided trek through Phawngpui National Park. At approximately 2,157 metres, Phawngpui is the highest peak in Mizoram. The mountain's long ridge, steep cliffs, grasslands and forested slopes create a distinctive trekking landscape overlooking the Chhimtuipui River and surrounding hill ranges.

The trek combines mountain walking with nature observation, scenic viewpoints and opportunities for bird watching and photography. The park supports diverse flora and fauna, including rhododendrons, orchids, rare birds and several mammal species. The Farpak grassland is particularly notable for bird watching.

Guests trek with a local guide along the designated route, taking appropriate breaks while exploring the mountain landscape and natural surroundings. This is a physically demanding outdoor experience and should be operated only when the park is officially accessible.

Meeting Instructions

Guests should report 30 minutes before the scheduled trek at the designated park access point for registration, permit verification and a safety briefing.
