Kenya: Amboseli Observation Hill Experience with Transfers

Experience one of Amboseli National Park’s most scenic viewpoints with a visit to Observation Hill, also known as Noomotio. Begin with pickup from your selected Amboseli lodge or camp and travel by safari vehicle through the park toward the hill. Observation Hill is a distinctive volcanic outcrop and one of the few designated places within the park where visitors can leave their vehicle and explore on foot. After arriving at the base, follow the short uphill trail toward the summit, taking time to enjoy the changing views as the landscape opens around you.

From the top, enjoy expansive views across Amboseli’s open plains, wetlands, swamps and seasonal lake basin. On clear days, the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro rises dramatically beyond the park, creating an exceptional backdrop for photography. Wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and numerous bird species may be visible from the elevated viewpoint, although sightings are never guaranteed. Your guide explains the relationship between Amboseli’s wildlife, wetlands and surrounding volcanic landscape while sharing information about the area's natural and cultural heritage. Spend time photographing the scenery, observing wildlife with binoculars or simply enjoying the panoramic setting. After the visit, descend to the vehicle and continue your safari or return to your lodge, depending on your selected itinerary.
