Day 1: Journey from Hanle to Tso Moriri via Puga Valley

The journey begins from the designated meeting point in Hanle where travelers board the shared SUV or begin the bike ride towards Tso Moriri. Before departure, visit the famous Hanle Observatory region, known for its peaceful surroundings, dramatic landscapes, and clear Himalayan skies. Continue the scenic drive through the remote Changthang region while passing mountain valleys, river stretches, and isolated Himalayan villages. En route, cross the scenic Mahe Bridge region and proceed towards the fascinating Puga Valley, famous for its geothermal activity, sulphur-rich hot springs, and unique terrain. Short halts may be taken during the journey for refreshments, photography, and operational breaks depending on road and weather conditions. By evening, arrive near Tso Moriri and check in to the budget camp/homestay. Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay near the lake.
