Day 1: Journey from Hanle to Leh via Chumathang

The journey begins from the designated meeting point at Hor Cottage in Hanle where travelers board the shared SUV or begin the bike ride towards Leh. Before departing from Hanle, visit the famous Hanle Observatory region, known for its peaceful surroundings, clear skies, and stunning high-altitude landscapes. After exploring Hanle, continue the scenic drive through the remote Changthang region surrounded by vast valleys, river stretches, and rugged Himalayan terrain. En route, stop at the Chumathang Hot Water Springs for a short break before continuing the journey towards Leh. Short halts may be taken during the drive for refreshments, photography, and operational breaks depending on road and weather conditions. By evening, arrive in Leh and check in to the budget hotel/stay. Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Leh.
