Assam: Nameri Jungle Trek with Transfers

Explore the forest landscape of Nameri National Park on a guided nature trek through permitted forest areas. Nameri covers approximately 200 sq. km in Sonitpur district and forms the core of the Nameri Tiger Reserve. The Assam Forest Department lists a wide range of wildlife and bird species in the park, including elephants, gaur, sambar, barking deer, capped langur, hornbills and several raptors.

The trek focuses on nature interpretation, forest ecology, birdwatching and wildlife observation from safe, designated routes. Wildlife sightings are naturally unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.

Guests should report 30 minutes before the scheduled trek for registration, guide allocation and a mandatory forest-safety briefing.
