Arunachal Pradesh: Bomdila–Dirang Guided Mountain Drive

Travel from Bomdila to Dirang on a private guided mountain drive through the scenic landscapes of West Kameng.

The journey is designed around the experience of the road itself rather than simply transferring between two towns. Guests can stop at selected viewpoints, mountain landscapes, Monpa settlements and cultural attractions while travelling toward the lower and greener Dirang Valley.

Bomdila sits at approximately 2,217 metres, while Dirang is around 1,497 metres, creating a noticeable change in landscape and climate as the road descends toward Dirang. Arunachal Tourism highlights the route for its mountain scenery and identifies Dirang's orchards, Sangti Valley, hot springs and other attractions.

The experience can include scenic stops around Bomdila Pass, Bomdila viewpoints and selected roadside viewpoints, followed by the descent toward Dirang. The itinerary should remain flexible because mountain weather, road conditions and local access can affect stopping points.
